What is Doodleback?

A lot of drawing apps let you construct a circle but usually in only one way. They let you copy an object but in only one way or erase but in only one way. But what if you wanted to erase with a star or copy something by rotation? Doodleback’s philosophy is that how you’re able to construct things is almost as important as what you can construct. Being able to precisely place objects at the moment of their creation simplifies many drawings that would otherwise be difficult or almost impossible. You can get it here on Google Play.

Immediately Below Other Path

The Immediately Below Other Path tool positions a path one Z-Level below another path. It works similarly to the Between Z-Levels tool. First select the path to reposition by touching one of its Snapping points. If you have trouble selecting the desired path, you may need to change the snapping Header Option Button from “Snapping to Bottom Path” to “Snapping to Top Path” or vice-versa. The selected path will have a dashed outline. [Read More]

Push to Bottom of Stack

The Push to Bottom of Stack tool pushes the selected path to the lowest z-level in the model. Besides an x-y location on the page, all paths have a z-dimension that tells whether it is above or below other paths. To push a path to the bottom of the stack simply touch one of its snapping points. If you have trouble selecting the desired path, you may have the snapping Header Option Button button set to Snapping to Top Path rather than Snapping to Bottom Path or vice-versa. [Read More]

Pull to Top of Stack

The Pull to Top of Stack tool pulls the selected path to the top z-level of the page. In addition to an x-y location on the page, all paths have a z-level, that is, a dimension that tells whether it is above or below other paths. To pull a path to the top of the page simply touch one of its snapping points. If a path is buried beneath several other paths, you can still lock onto it by changing the snapping Header Option Button button so that it’s Snapping to Bottom Path rather than Snapping to Top Path.
